The National Defense Industrial Association Rocky Mountain Chapter is proud to be presenting the 36th Annual Rocky Mountain Ball.  This year’s ball will be held at Hotel Elegante Conference and Event Center on October 18, 2019.  This Mess Dress/ Black Tie event is a long-standing tradition with Colorado Springs military and national defense industry communities.  We invite you to participate.

We will once again present the Hartinger Award at the Ball honoring a significant contributor to the US military space mission.  This year we have selected Mr. Andrew Cox, Director of the Space Security and Defense Program at Air Force Space Command to receive the Award.  We will be posting more information about Mr. Cox on this site as we get closer to the Ball.NDIA-RMC Rocky Mountain Ball Main Photo Collage 2019

We will also present our Patriot Awards honoring military members who have gone above and beyond in the performance of their mission.  We will be honoring individuals from Air Force Space Command, US Northern Command/NORAD, the Air Force Academy, Fort Carson, and Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command.  Selection of the Patriot Award recipients is currently underway and we will be posting more information about them as we get closer to the Ball.

The Ball is hosted by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Association with NDIA member companies participating with the purchase of tables, sponsorships, or seats at the event.  Government guests, as always, are not charged for attending and are seated with industry hosts.  Government guests at the general officer level are seated in the VIP area.  With the purchase of a ten-seat table, the industry provides four seats at their table for government guests which are assigned by the Ball Committee.  The Ball Committee uses great care in the seating process to avoid potential conflicts of interest between the government and industry participants.

  • NDIA Ball attendees must be 21 years or older.
  • Corporate VIP seats are intended for use of a VIP and their spouse/guest and not another company employee.  (See Ball Policy Letter)
